Our makerspace lab is housed in our library area. It provides a space for students to be creative through high tech and low tech activities. Makerspace allows students to explore, create or improve on something that already exists. Students are able to tinker, build, take things apart, code drones and robots, try AR/VR and experiment with electronics and electricity to name a few!

At Weledeh Catholic School, our students use the Design Thinking process to design projects. They are tasked with empathy- thinking about their users, defining- what does your user need, ideate- creating ideas for solutions, prototype- start to create solutions and test- does your prototype work.  At the end of this process they present their findings to their teacher and class. Our students discover that they need to make changes to their original idea. So many fantastic ideas happen in makerspace!
